Wave Broadband Donates $30,000 to Local Schools

October 28, 2009

As part of our Connecting Communities Initiative, WaveDivision Holdings recently launched a marketing campaign during which $10 of each residential installation fee collected was designated for donation to local school districts throughout our service areas. The overall response from our customers was extremely positive and $30,000 will be donated to benefit local schools and provide much needed resources for students.

The Connecting Communities Initiative was established by WaveDivision Holdings, LLC as part of the company's ongoing efforts to support the communities they serve. This initiative includes the launch of "Wave in the Classroom" and "Astound in the Classroom", partnering with the Adopt-A-Classroom organization. These programs provide academic support, donation of services, and classroom sponsorships.

"Wave Broadband and Astound are always finding ways to expand their community support," said Arah Peck, Chief Marketing Officer. "The Connecting Communities Initiative is a new program that continues to build and strengthen the relationships we have with our community partners so that we can work together to make a lasting impact in our neighborhoods. Support for this initiative from our communities and customers has been overwhelming and heart-warming."

The $30,000 donation provides local schools with additional funds in direct support of learning opportunities for students. Wave Broadband and Astound are committed to making a positive impact in the communities they serve, and are honored to play a small role in providing a better educational environment.
