Wave Broadband, the premiere provider of advanced video, true high-speed internet and phone services to over 400,000 residential and commercial customers in Washington, Oregon, and California announced today the company has launched a community support campaign that will benefit the Key Peninsula Community Center’s Food Bank operations, just in time for the holidays.
This community support campaign comes on the heels of Wave’s recent network upgrade in its Lakebay, Washington system. Wave will be donating $10 to Key Peninsula Community Services’ Food Bank for every new Lakebay customer installation in November and December. The company hopes the campaign will contribute $2,500 or more to the food bank by the end of December.
Wave Broadband purchased the Broadstripe Northwest early in 2012 and since then has made improvements to the Lakebay network and launched affordable WavePhone™ service. Earlier this week, Wave upgraded its fiber network providing customers with faster internet speeds, advanced video services like multi-room DVR and other advanced digital services such as Wave TV Everywhere, TV On Demand, and over 100 digital channels.
“We are thrilled to be able to tie a community giving campaign to the exciting new products and services launched in the Lakebay community,” said Cyndi Wikstrom, VP of Operations for Wave Broadband. “This area has been historically underserved, and Wave is happy to be the local provider and to show we are here for the Lakebay community, and for all the communities we serve, for the long haul.”
Although this campaign is driven by Wave and its employees wanting to give back to the community, Wave hopes that with the new service launches and network upgrade, Lakebay residents will want to make the switch and at the same time, help Wave help the Key Peninsula Community Services’ Food Bank.
